I had the pleasure of attending the Art Guild Reception for the Flora and Foliage exhibition. One of my paintings, titled “Iris Bloom,” is currently on display.  I submitted a very small piece, 6”x4” oil on flat canvas and my favorite sister came with me. Yay! 😁❤️

This was my first time visiting the Art Guild, even though I’ve had my work shown a couple of times before. I was super excited to be part of it. When we walked in, we were greeted by two friendly faces at the entrance, which is always a nice touch. The venue was packed! Many artists were present, and for anyone considering purchasing paintings for their home, I highly recommend meeting the artists in person. As you enter, you will observe that there are several rooms filled with artwork to explore. It was not overly crowded, allowing for a comfortable appreciation of the art. Additionally, there was a back room stocked with hors d’oeuvres and wine. 

One of the highlights for me was meeting and seeing some incredibly talented artists. It was my first encounter with artist Cevin Yen and his wife Alice. His paintings that were selected for this event were stunning, filled with vibrant colors and intricate details. I also enjoyed running into artist Denis Ponsot, who is always delightful to talk to. His watercolor pieces on display are simply beautiful and last but not least, the talented prize winner, artist Belajonas, whose work, named “Harmony,” focused on foliage. It was full of rich textures and undeniably pleasing to look at. Well, that is all for now. Don’t forget to stop by! The art exhibit will be open until September 28th.
