Over the weekend the Huntington Art Council began their “Essence of Form” Reception featuring a few dozen incredible works. My painting “Year 2020” was selected by the juror Edward Acosta as Honorable mention. I’m very thankful and excited to share this.
About the art: “Year 2020 was an unprecedented year. Chaos and uncertain yet cohesive and calming. As an artist, I wanted to portray all of these elements and what our world looked like that year. “
About the juror: Edward Acosta is a New York-based visual artist. Acosta’s paintings have been exhibited at notable institutions, including the Heckscher Museum of Art and The Long Island Museum, where one of his works is part of the permanent collection.
About the Gallery: Since it was founded in 1963, the Huntington Arts Council has inspired and aided the growth of hundreds of art organizations and individual artists now flourishing across Long Island.
